Not all predictions come true, but we’d take a bold prediction over a vague one any day. The great thing about a bold prediction is it creates discussion. Not maybe or possibly or broadly or I think, but “I believe x will happen”.
Until artificial intelligence (AI) can predict the future for us, the best source of insight we have is the opinions of our peers and trusted thought leaders. That’s why the Boardroom’s final session of the year, Predictions, is the most popular meeting in our calendar.
With 2020 approaching at a fearsome pace, we’re taking a Kubrick-inspired look at the year ahead (and beyond). If you think 2019 has been a roller coaster year, standby for the next 12-months. We’re not finished yet:
In Kubrick’s seminal film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, he explored many of the issues that face us today including the true objectives of those in power and the ethical questions surrounding AI. The main characters’ world (a space craft) is controlled by HAL, a sentient computer. HAL augments the astronauts’ lives in fantastic ways and also limits their control, trusted by the hero’s superiors more than they trust him – with the true objective of their mission.
Join us for the last Boardroom meeting of the year and enjoy an evening of unique insights, exceptional peer-networking and stunning views of the city at night.
