WHY IS THIS COMPLEX & EVOLVING TOPIC IMPORTANT IN 2020…
Companies that master the response to a crisis will reap long-term rewards. They are smarter, and create opportunities to win in the long term [BCG]. A frightening prospect given 72% of senior executives believe bad strategic decisions are the prevailing norm in their organisation [McKinsey]. Speed of decision making will define the winners and losers as the world recovers from Covid-19.
2020 will be the most digitally disruptive year to date. The pressure to transform has hit boiling point, but continued flux in consumer demands, geopolitical (in)stability, and a rising cyber-security threat all risk derailing transformation plans. Whether your priority is to drive growth, meet customer demands or mitigate risk across your organisation, making the right decisions will be more crucial than ever before. If your company can’t make these decisions quickly, you will be left behind. How can you respond?

LOCATION – THE NED, BANK
When Nick Jones, the founder of Soho House & Co, first saw the City’s disused Midland Bank building in 2012, he fell in love. ‘The property had been empty for nearly eight years but there was something about it – the details and scale of it – that just floored me,’ Jones explains. The moment he left, he called Ron Burkle, Soho House chairman and investor. ‘Ron came to view the building and straight away we began to imagine how the project would take form,’ says Jones. Now The Ned is one of the most vibrant locations in the City. Busy at lunch, buzzy at night.
